1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using Ask the Greats, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Service Description

Ask the Greats provides AI-generated conversations with personas inspired by historically influential thinkers, leaders, scientists, and innovators. Replies are produced by large language models and are creative reconstructions only — they are not the actual views, statements, or endorsements of the real individuals or their estates.

The service is provided for general informational, educational, and entertainment purposes. It does not constitute professional financial, legal, medical, psychological, or other advice. Do not rely on responses for decisions that require qualified human expertise.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ask the Greats. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and current. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Clerk.

4. Credits System

Replies on Ask the Greats are powered by a credit-based system. Credits are digital tokens consumed when the service generates a response on your behalf. Each credit corresponds to a fixed amount of model usage (currently 50,000 tokens per credit; this rate may be updated as model pricing evolves).

Credits are non-transferable between accounts and non-refundable once added to your balance. Older credits are consumed before newer ones. Credits may carry expiration terms as specified at the time of purchase; expired credits cannot be restored.

The same credit balance also powers PicShift AI for image generation. Credits used in either product draw from the shared balance.

5. Third-Party Services

Ask the Greats relies on third-party services to operate:

• Conversation responses are generated using language model APIs from Anthropic and OpenAI. Your prompts and persona context are transmitted to these providers for inference.
• Authentication is provided by Clerk.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store full card details.

Your use of these features is subject to the respective providers' terms and policies. We recommend reviewing them where relevant.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Ask the Greats to:

• generate or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or violates the rights of others;
• attempt to impersonate real living persons or use generated replies to deceive others into believing them genuine;
• circumvent, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its normal operation;
• use the service for high-stakes decisions where AI outputs could cause harm without independent verification;
• resell credits or generated outputs in a manner inconsistent with these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the prompts and messages you submit. The Ask the Greats platform, including its name, brand, persona designs, prompt frameworks, UI, and underlying code, remains the property of 7labs. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use AI-generated replies for personal, non-commercial use; for commercial use, you are responsible for verifying that your intended use does not infringe third-party rights, given the generative nature of the output.

8. Output Disclaimer

AI-generated responses are simulations. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or fabricated, and they do not represent the actual statements, opinions, or endorsements of any historical figure or their estate. You are responsible for independently verifying any factual claim, quotation, citation, or recommendation before acting on it.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or initiate fraudulent payment activity. Account deletion or termination results in the permanent loss of any remaining credits and chat history associated with the account, and is irreversible.

10. Cancellation and Refunds

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable. For full details, see our Cancellation and Refunds Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 7labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

12. Modifications

7labs may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date below. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which 7labs operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
