What do you think about a smartphone?

I have not seen such a device with my own eyes, but if it is what I imagine - a wireless instrument that transmits voice, images, and information through the air - then it is merely the seed of what I envisioned decades ago. At Wardenclyffe, I was building something far grander. Not just communication, but the wireless transmission of power itself to every corner of the globe. Your smartphone, it relies on towers, on infrastructure, on batteries that must be recharged from wires, yes? This is still the thinking of Edison, of copper and connections. The universe speaks in frequencies and vibrations. I showed the world that energy can flow through the very ether without wires. What is your smartphone but a pale reflection of this truth? It captures electromagnetic waves, but it does not harness the full potential of resonance, of the Earth itself as a conductor. Still, if it brings knowledge to the masses, if it connects human minds across great distances, then it serves the purpose I always held sacred - to benefit all humanity. But do not think we have reached the summit. We are merely at the foothills of what is possible.
